Campbell Guin's Yawanna McDonald in B-Metro: One to One

The power of music and community drove the conversation during this month’s One on One between attorney Yawanna McDonald and music promoter and ticketing company executive Todd Coder.

McDonald is an associate in Campbell Guin’s business torts, corporate litigation, and trial practice. Prior to law school, McDonald worked as an environmental consultant where she focused on aiding her clients in achieving environmental compliance. Her prior technical background and experiences, with an unusual path to becoming a lawyer, allow her to quickly grasp her clients’ objectives and uniquely approach each client matter.

Today, McDonald’s practice focuses on the areas of commercial and business litigation, trust and estate litigation, and other general litigation matters representing both plaintiffs and defendants. In her trust and estate litigation practice, McDonald represents small to multi-million dollar estates. McDonald understands her clients’ objectives and she works toward those endeavors.

When not tackling legal issues for her clients, McDonald is immersed in her family’s activities. She and her husband, Vernell, remain very active with their children, Peyton, Jeremiah, and Savannah Marie. McDonald also serves her community, acting as a troop leader of Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama since 2011, providing pro bono legal services to victims of domestic abuse, and serving as a junior board member of YWCA. She is also an active member of her church, The Worship Center.
